Catherine M. De Sessa

Catherine M. De Sessa, 60, of Mt. Laurel, passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2012, at home.
Born in Hackensack, NJ, Catherine resided in Hasbrouck Heights, NJ, before moving to Medford. She resided in Mt. Laurel for the last ten years. Catherine graduated from Burlington County College in 1995, and went on to become a registered nurse, where she worked in the I.C.U. at Virtua Memorial Hospital, Mt. Holly.
She is survived by her former spouse, Christopher S. De Sessa of Marlton; four daughters and a son-in-law, Alison De Sessa of Medford, Theresa Sabol of Marlton, Elizabeth De Sessa of Mt. Laurel, and Mary De Sessa and Luis Labrador of Ft. Dix; one brother and sister-in-law, John and Anne O’Connor of GA; one sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Edward Gumbrecht of Hasbrouck Heights; seven grandchildren, Skylar, Seleena, Christopher J., Joseph, Anthony, Olivia and Luis; and two nieces and two nephews.
Relatives and friends may call on Monday, July 23, 2012, from 9-10AM, at the Mathis Funeral Home, 58 N. Main St., Medford. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, at 10:30AM, at St. Mary of the Lakes R.C. Church, 40 Jackson Rd., Medford.
Interment will follow in Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Catherine’s memory to the Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation, P.O. Box 7669, Atlanta, GA 30357.
Mary and the whole DeSessa family are in my thoughts and prayers. God will give you the strength to get through this hard time. I only met Catherine once but she was a great lady with a good sense of humor.
