James E. Ring of Browns Mills died on Sunday, February 17 at home after a lengthy illness. He was 79.
Jim was born in Nashville, TN to the late John and Mildred Pentecost Ring. He was predeceased by his five siblings.
Jim served honorably in the US Navy for ten years and worked the remainder of his career as a jet engine mechanic at McGuire AFB.
Jim is survived by his wife, Vickie Ring and was the husband of the late Marie Cardinale Ring. He was the beloved father of two daughters, Patricia Ring and Rosemarie Ring (deceased). He also was the stepfather of Donna Plaza (Tony) and Paul Westhoven, III (Amy). Jim is the proud Pop-Pop of Nate Plaza, Glenn Jones, Jr. and Violet Westhoven.
Prior to his illness, Jim had varied interests that included golf, deep sea fishing, card games with his buddies, NASCAR #99, and was a die-hard Eagles/Phillies Fan.
The family is extending a special thank you to the caring staff of Acacia Hospice and his long-time physician, Dr. John Scappaticci.
Jim has requested no service and cremation services will be held privately. Moore Funeral Home, Browns Mills will be handling the arrangements.
